Project Update |JHHY HOUSE Modular Buildings Support the First Test Events of the Winter Olympics

At an altitude of 2,000 meters, under a clear blue sky and with perfect snow conditions, the “See You in Beijing” series of test events for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics officially began at the Zhangjiakou competition zone. This event is the longest and highest-level among the four test competitions and activities held in Zhangjiakou, and it serves as the final comprehensive on-site rehearsal for the Zhangjiakou zone before the Winter Olympics.

Behind the thrilling competitions, the JHHY HOUSE construction team has been working tirelessly through wind and snow, day and night, to meticulously advance the construction of temporary facilities across all competition zones. The speed and excitement on the field are underpinned by JHHY HOUSE's dedication and unwavering commitment.

As a temporary construction service partner for the Chongli Zone and Yanqing Zone of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, JHHY HOUSE was responsible for the construction of temporary buildings for the Chongli Genting Snow Park and the National Alpine Skiing Center, and also participated in the design of the “Temporary Venues and Infrastructure Construction for the Beijing 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.”

During the preparation stage, the temporary construction team scheduled the project timeline according to the competition calendar and implemented a strict daily morning and evening coordination meeting system. To ensure the project was completed ahead of schedule with guaranteed quality, the entire project team remained on duty both before and throughout the competitions, ensuring that any issue could be discovered and resolved immediately. By anticipating potential problems and addressing them in advance, the team eliminated hidden risks and provided solid infrastructure support for electricity, medical services, communications, and media operations.

The Genting Ski Resort includes three competition track areas, where a total of 20 gold medals were awarded during the Winter Olympics. The project covered four major functional zones: spectator areas, operations support areas, track-side zones, and media zones. A total of 1,378 functional rooms were constructed, including:

●Spectator service and heating rooms

●Power supply buildings

●NTO lounges

●Competition results buildings

●Athlete service buildings and heating facilities

●Public and accessible restrooms

●Waste collection rooms

●Finish area buildings

●Referee rooms

●Operations support staff rooms

●Media technology centers

●Broadcasting complex rooms

●Security buildings

●OBS/NBS kitchens

●Firefighter standby stations

●Ski waxing rooms

●Traffic security inspection rooms

●Sports equipment storage warehouses

●Entrance pedestrian security checkpoints

The total construction area reached 18,000 square meters, all installed by JHHY HOUSE, receiving high praise from Genting Resort, the International Ski Federation (FIS), and the Olympic Organizing Committee.

CCTV News also highly praised the project, noting:
“The yellow pine boards installed on the container houses reduce the visual glare caused by the white snow at the ski resort, making it more comfortable for the eyes.”

As one of the pioneering enterprises in China’s fully prefabricated building industry and a large-scale high-tech company, JHHY HOUSE provided impressive high-end modular container housing for the Winter Olympics for three consecutive years from 2019 to 2021, ensuring reliable support for various competition events.

The execution of this temporary construction task has further enriched experience for future Winter Olympic projects.
